A couple of days back, Cindy, from Contests and Challenges, left me a message on this blog. She was sponsoring her first contest for the Animal Rescue Site.

The animal rescue site is a beautiful online venture that lets you send free animal ecards, and buy lovely animal memorabilia at affordable prices. All proceeds are sent to animal rescue centers and used to feed the rescued animals. Of course, the amount is not enough. So, a number of sponsors have come forward to help the animal rescue site with funding, in return for user clicks.

That’s right. All you need to do is click on an ad or two, and a certain amount is credited to the animal rescue site. On clicking, you get a message similar to: Thank You. Your click just helped fill 1.4 bowls of food for rescued animals.

That’s it guys… all you got to do is click… and people won’t even do that. The site is finding it more and more difficult everyday to feed the animals because people are not clicking the ads. What’s it with you guys? Click for a good deed. Will you? If you are God fearing, consider one click as one step toward heaven. If you don’t believe in God, click to feel good about yourself. Save a life without putting yourself in harm’s way. How tough can it be?

If you would like to help the animal rescue site in ways other than clicking, then please place their widget on your blog’s homepage. You can find the details of the widget here.

Cindy is going all out to spread the word, and she actually has a lovely prize in place for the winning entry. If you would like to participate, please visit her blog for the competition details.

This post may look like an angry rant, but if you can read the sincere message at the heart of it, I will consider that a job well done on my part.
