The idea behind this blog is to popularize the dog breed called INDogs. As many of you may know, I keep trying every now and then to hold online campaigns to this effect.

Right now, we have a giveaway in progress for all our email subscribers who have signed up by the 29th of March. If you are a John Grisham fan, and want a shot at getting his latest book delivered to you for free, you must hurry and subscribe to our blog using the email subscription form at the top right hand corner of your screen.

That said, I have a few ideas for our next scheduled campaigns, and would appreciate your feedback on them. You know… which of them you think will work, how I can tweak and optimize them, would you participate, etc.

Idea 1: The INDog e-show – For the month of May

I have been thinking about it for a while. We have dog shows of all kind round-the-year, and get to see all kinds of amazing dogs. Unfortunately, the KCI does not recognize INDogs as an indegeneous breed. As a result, a number of dog enthusiasts miss out on getting to know and see this wonderful species.

Paws Awhile proposes to hold the first ever INDog e-show. We would like to invite all INDog owners and lovers to upload photographs of their favorite pets on to Flickr.

Share the photos with us, and we will feature them in a dedicated photostream on Paws Awhile. While everyone gets to see how the other person’s INDog is almost as beautiful as his/her’s own, we will have a panel of juries to crown the top three contestants—the dogs, and not their owners.

Prizes will be shipped to the respective owners’ addresses for free.

Here’s a shout out to two INDog loving friends of mine… Mitul and Avik, in case you need a broad, gaping, obvious hint (like you often do), Phoebe and Kalu are very much eligible for this show.

Idea 2: The guest posters’ carnival – For the month of June

Got an INDog? Like to brag? Go ahead and do it on Paws Awhile. We propose an INDog owners’ Summer Brawl. Write a post on your INDog and send it to us. We will publish it on Paws Awhile. In fact, we would like to reserve the entire month of June of your guest posts.

Read your own posts on the blog and read the ones that others have sent in too. Vote for the one you like the best. Of course, you cannot vote for yourself.

At the end of the month, we will tabulate all the votes, and the winner will receive a special prize from Paws Awhile.

What say?

I would appreciate your feedbacks on these campaigns before we roll them out on the scheduled dates. So go ahead and speak your mind. I am waiting for some constructive comments.
