I would like to thank all of you. I have lost three pets since the beginning of this year. It has been tough.

The good news is that I am not going to lose a fourth one. Not this time.

As far as my family and I are concerned, there has been a miracle. In a last ditch attempt to save Shundari, we took a second opinion. The second opinion saved her life.

It seems she had been misdiagnosed the first time around, and had been receiving the wrong treatment. Right now she is stable, but extremely weak. There is an electrolyte imbalance that is dangerous, and if we can get her through the next few days, hopefully she will make a full recovery in time.

Dr. Ferox, I hope someday I will find a vet for my dogs who are as sincere to their vocation as you are. Thank you so much for your thoughts and concern.

Avik, to answer your question, if I really sort out my priorities, the blog comes second to my pet. It is there because of her. What business could I have had running a blog on INDogs without falling in love with one?

If Paws Awhile has really made a difference in the INDog Awareness program, it is because the program was worth it. The blog was only the medium.

As far as the blog goes, it is still temporarily suspended. I am going to spend some time with my dogs and help Shundari recover. Blogging will resume after I am done.

This is my final post before the sabbatical. I will publish the guest articles that our readers had sent in, so there will be useful content if anyone cares to drop by the blog when I am not there.
